Earlier this week I worked on my very own front porch project with my sweet neighbor families. I only spent a few minutes with each of these families, from a very safe distance, to document this crazy moment in time that we are experiencing. One day life will go back to normal, but for this small time most of our families are together. No traveling, no school, no baseball practices; for now, we get to slow down. Enjoy each other. Honestly, I feel like it has been a blessing for my family. It's fun to see how excited my boys get to show me computer programs they use at school. They amaze me with how well they understand things and what awesome reading and writing skills they have developed over the past couple years. They ask for my help all the time... which for now is something I can actually do. First and second grade skills are my jam! Makes me feel pretty good about myself! Haha! But I'm pretty sure by the time they are in middle school math, I'm going to be completely lost with how their teachers teach those concepts.(Anyone else agree?!) I don't know, maybe I'm just a total newbie because I've never had to homeschool my kids before now, but I have never ever been more grateful for school teachers. They are nothing less than SAINTS. Moving on from my tangent.. the point is, enjoy these moments. Enjoy your daily family walks, and game nights at the house each night. Soak it all in, cause once this is over.. life will move on and get crazy busy again. Here's a few of my cute neighbors.
