Planning your family picture clothes!

Planning for pictures can be super stressful! Honestly, I make it a point to have my own family pictures taken each year as well, just to remind myself what its like to be on the other side of the camera!

In order to try and help you, I wanted to put together a few simple tips for you as you prepare and plan your family outfits

First-- gone are the days of everyone in the same matching outfits from head to toe! (I'm sure you are like me and have one of these from about 15 years ago on your parents wall!) Instead of matching, now focus on coordinating.

Second-- Choose timeless neutrals. Any bright reds, oranges, or pinks tend to cast colors on your skin. Staying with light whites, creams, khaki, blues for example.. then don't forget to add pops of color too!

Third-- avoid logos, or big pictures on clothing. They tend to stick out and are distracting from the images.

Fourth--Try to limit the amount of patterns. If you have a small family and include one bold print, incorporate solids for the rest of the family that tie into that pattern.

Fifth-- (My fave) Add layers! Have fun with it! Adding sweaters, vests, jackets, bow ties.. any of these things bring in more character and excitement to the overall look.

Sixth-- Shoes! Don't forget about the shoes! Lay them out with the outfits beforehand. Sometimes things go missing the day of and added stress of finding things last minute is never fun!

*Most important of all: choose outfits that make you feel absolute your best!

**If there are ANY questions whatsoever, I am more than happy to help! Just be sure to lay out all of your outfits a day or two before pictures so you can see how they look as a whole.
